German Potato Salad Flatbread with Bratwurst and Caramelized Onions

Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons butter
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 4 Bratwurst links, sliced ⅛ inch thick
- 1 pre-made flatbread, approximately 12-inches long
- Olive oil for brushing
- 1 can (15 oz) READ German Potato Salad
- 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh chives
Directions
Makes 4-6 servings
- Preheat oven to 425°F
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and caramelized. Remove from skillet with a slotted spoon and add to plate. Set aside.
- In the same skillet, add bratwurst and cook 7-10 minutes until browned. Remove with slotted spoon and add to plate with onions. Set aside.
- Place flatbread on baking sheet and brush edges with oil.
- Layer potato salad, cooked bratwurst, caramelized onions, and cheese.
- Bake 8-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
- Garnish with chives and serve.
